APPROACH
The main objectives in designing DPR’s new space were to integrate natural lighting throughout the space, create distinct zones for client collaboration and engagement, and centralize the team workspaces for culture building and bonding. Public vs Private separation was a driving factor in the spatial planning to optimize workspace layouts and provide functional areas for team collaboration, on-site training, client events, and resident and touchdown workspaces.
DPR’s appreciation for architectural materials like metals, concrete, and brick in their raw forms influenced the selection of a consistent material palette for the project, which features grey metal and corten steel finished panels on the exterior. The experience begins at the Cox Rd turnoff with a monument sign featuring a backlit logo cut out of corten steel, creating a glowing effect. The entry trellis and front patio further define DPR’s main entrance, providing clear wayfinding to the reception area just beyond the main entry door.
