A new home for Richmond’s favorite hair salon, YY, was found on Patterson Avenue in Richmond’s near West End. This former residence was converted to support the functions of a modern-day salon, with all the amenities their customers had come to expect.

APPROACH
The structure’s original front porch was transformed to the Lobby/Waiting Room. Original features of the building were preserved and re-purposed. Street-facing windows were re-purposed to house retail products and the original fireplace was restored and modernized.
Updated systems were incorporated for code compliance and programmatic functionality. The overall result is a timeless space that integrates seamlessly with the surrounding neighborhood.
