Equal parts creative and technical, Emily’s armed with a keen eye for design and the skills to figure out how to make it work. She’s drawn to every aspect of design, from the initial puzzle of putting together the space plan to pulling together a concept and finishes or figuring out how to document and build the vision. Emily brings a unique perspective to each new project, with a background in both design and architecture and experience delivering award-winning multi-family amenity spaces.

Why smbw?

In this next chapter of her career, Emily wanted to work at a small, local firm with big ideas and beautiful designs and she believes she’s found that at smbw. Emily finds that many of Richmond’s great local spaces have been designed by smbw and she wants to be a part of influencing the fabric of the city.
