APPROACH
Relocating from their current facility in Chesterfield, to downtown Richmond, VPM Media Corporation’s new building aims at creating a vibrant commercial development that breathes new life into the site, activates the street frontage, and provides a significant community asset to support a variety of educational and cultural events. The project incorporates a 5-story combined commercial office, media production, and community event program spaces.
The design approach seeks to accomplish a few key drivers including: leveraging VPM Media Corporation’s brand recognition and timelessness; setting the organization up for future success through connectivity and adaptability; crafting a welcome, bold, and dynamic first impression; utilizing holistic design strategies for building and occupant health; embracing transparency; and supporting community building and the opportunity to share different narratives.
