APPROACH

The new space needed to be “built for the girl,” offering a design that met the specific needs of Girl Scouts while inspiring engagement and growth. The organization aimed to increase its visibility and accessibility within the community, creating a welcoming presence for members and visitors alike. The facility also needed to support troop leaders, equipping them with tools and resources to mentor and lead effectively. These objectives shaped every aspect of the project, ensuring alignment with the Girl Scouts’ mission and values.

To achieve these goals, the design focused on creating a balance between functionality and a welcoming atmosphere. Bright, open spaces were incorporated to encourage connection and engagement, with natural light and outdoor integration playing key roles in fostering a sense of openness and energy. Modern amenities were thoughtfully introduced to enrich the experience for both Girl Scouts and their leaders.
